Denyut Listrik Sinyal Material Runtuh

Jurnal KeSimpulan.com - Apakah jembatan beton memancarkan sinyal listrik sebelum mereka rubuh? Bahan granular mengeluarkan zap hanya sebelum tergelincir.

Tepung roti biasa bukanlah zat yang paling electrifying, tetapi menumpahkan kotak barang menghasilkan sentakan tegangan yang membuat ilmuwan gembira dengan prospek untuk merasakan dini sebelum peristiwa bencana seperti gempa Bumi dan kecelakaan industri.

Para ilmuwan telah lama mengetahui material termasuk batu, kristal dan perekat kantor menghasilkan sinyal listrik ketika fraktur atau retak di bawah beban.

Tegangan dalam tepung mungkin menjadi sinyal pelebaran yang menunjukkan aliran terjadi.

Troy Shinbrot dari Rutgers University di Piscataway, New Jersey, dan rekan menemukan kedipan bergelombang dengan mengamati longsoran kecil di laboratorium ketika bubuk berputar dalam silinder. Muatan listrik 500 volt terdeteksi hingga 4,5 detik sebelum longsoran terjadi.

Gaya berasal dari kendornya struktur bubuk padat dan menyebar ke permukaan ketika silinder berputar yang akhirnya mengakibatkan celah terpotong dari ikatan utama. Hal ini juga diketahui dari bahan gagal dan gempa Bumi dengan melepaskan sinyal listrik.

Perubahan tegangan yang sama dapat memberi peringatan tanda-tanda cacat internal atau bencana yang segera datang dalam benda yang terbuat dari bubuk konsolidasi seperti jembatan beton atau bilah turbin keramik di pesawat terbang dan mesin mobil.
